I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Sharp ideas!!!

Had to venture back into my Stampin' Up! supplies....after all I am an Independent Demonstrator for them. I do love their products. The stamps and punches coordinate so well together....ingenious huh?? This card was inspired from the 'try a new technique challenge' on SCS for Monday. Can you guess what the new technique I used??? Oh, come on, look real hard.....do you see shiny things......bwahahahahaha. Ok, I'll tell ya, it was to use soda cans punches, you could use your punches or scissors. Actually its very easy to use your punches, it will sharpen them too. So, if you have punches that seem like they are on their last go around, punch a few times on a piece of soda can metal. I was a non-believer, but you see the scallop circle punch, I have used that thing so much, it was starting to wave a white flag.... Ha! The punches were getting ragged around the edges and it was getting harder to punch, but now it seems to work better and smoother. What are waiting for....run on over to SCS and see what the new challenge is for today, but you can still up load this challenge too. But first, let me give you a few Deets on this card... First, I stamped the image (Polka Dot Punches stamp set, from the Sale-a-bration catty) using black stazon on the soda can metal and heat set it and then used my punches. Black, tempting turquoise, and whisper white card stock, ribbon, a tag/buckle from big lots (treasure) and paper shaper scissors to cut the scallop edge and paper piercer to punch the holes and a black sharpie to make the squiggle/dots around the edge. Ok...Gotta split....TFL!

Super duper! I so stayed away from that challenge, but I like that it will sharpen my punches!

This is beautiful and I love your "stories".

Crystal, amazing that a punch will go through a soda can! Great idea! Thanks! I do indeed have a few punches that need sharpening up! And your card is terrific!
