About Me

My photo
I would classify myself as an artist. It took me a while to finally accept that monicker, but that's what I am; AN ARTIST!!! I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Come on by and sit a spell and "STAMP 'TIL YA CRAMP!!! & "CROP 'TIL YA DROP!!!"

Dude Time Doodles Blog Hop

If you came from TAMMY......then you are in the right place.

But don't race thru it too fast.
This racy image is called "Gordon Leadfoot"  You'll want to race on over to Dude Time Doodles Store and get this one and finish it for your race fan. Gordie kinda looks like my hubs....(or so everyone tells me that).

Check out "Earl Bunny".  He looks like he's had way more than a carrot.....Bwahahahahahahahaaha!!!
I doubt he does much bunny-ing this Easter.  Hop on over to get him and make something cutesy for your own "Earl".

Crappy scrappy day.....

Crappy part is the R-A-I-N......
the best part about the rain is I love to spend time in my studio.
I seem to get a lot more crafting done while its raining than any other time.

This, again, is my youngest daughter and this pic was taken last July in San Francisco.  We were 'stay'cationing with her daddy. {'Stay'cation for us is wherever her daddy is working we get to vacation}.....Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
He doesn't always get to take rotation to come home a lot.....the boss has this thing about keeping the job on schedule.......LOL
So, we get to fly or drive to where he is staying and have fun too.  He works during the week and we go do things on the weekend. But, while he's working during the day.....Harlee and I take off and do some shopping or sight-seeing.

Well, on this day we had already been there for almost 2 weeks and we had done pretty much all the shopping and sight-seeing we could stand. Harlee said she wanted her hair cut.  So, I grabbed the scissors and started cutting. She was so proud of her new cut.  So, of course, we had to get ready and go out so she could show it off.....Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!
I think we walked to the nearest coffee shop and split a frappe. Yep, frappe; she loves them.

Page Deets:

I tore a strip out of the DSP and then added some large eyelets.  Then I added a strip of coordinating paper to the back and I laced seam binding thru the eyelets.
(The pics) - I printed several and left the bottom one as is.  Then I cut parts off of the others and layered them as you see them here. The heart is a punch from CM. The lettering is from a cricut cart that I can't remember....sorry!!!!  I will be better about writing down the carts.
I love how this one turned out......!!!!!

Until later, missing pieces......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!!

Keep on........

TRUCKIN' JEEPIN' !!!!

I thought that I would show you some scrapbook pages that I have done lately.  This was a fun one to put together.
Like most kids; my daughter got a Barbie Jeep when she was probably about 3 yrs. old. We lived in Florida at the time and the weather was warm pretty much year round. {As you can tell by the nekkid torso....bwahahahahahahaha!!!}

She drove that thing all over the yard.......EVERYDAY!!!
The pic with the towel as head gear was a rainy day....did that stop her....NO!!!
Being warm, the rain isnt a cold rain like we have here in Georgia.  She just put on the towel and took off.

Deets of the page:
I used Campout cartridge for the jeep and the grass was cut using a fiskars border.  Sorry, but I forgot what cart. I got the font from.  But I'm thinking its Printing Press......correct me if I'm wrong.

The paper clip is from Wally world.  I'm a kid of the 60's and 70's and thats when the slogan came out....."Keep on truckin' "   Remember there was sometimes a hitch hiker's type thumb pic w/ the slogan.

I'm going to be showcasing a lot of scrap pages in the next few weeks.  I'm going on a scrappin' retreat and my focus will be on scrappin' for a while.

Until later,blog hikers.....Gotta split......TFL!!!!!

Dastardly........

Diva!!!!!

We all have our horns hidden most of the time. Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!
(inside)
This devilish dastardly diva is prodding you to go over to Haunted Design House to enter the challenge.  This week it's a delightfully dastardly one.  We all feel a little dastardly at time, don't we???  My hubs tells me I'm mean sometimes.  I'm not mean really, I just tell you like it is.  Whether you like it or not. If I don't tell ya, who will? I don't gossip or go behind people's back and whisper about them.  Believe me, most people appreciate my honesty. Don't get me wrong; I don't hurt people.  I'm totally "PC" in my opinions. Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Right, wrong or indifferent......thats ME!!!!!

Until later, divaettes.......Gotta split......TFL!!!!!!!

Bring on the B-L-I-N-G !!!!

Hambo Hoedown has a blingy challenge....... they want you to bling up your creation any way you want.  The bling-ier the better.
What better way to bring on the bling than to have a lightening bug shining their light on my card.

How cute is this image.....  I'm sure this is how most kids see lightening bugs.  They are full of wonder on how they get their tails to light up. Speaking of lightening bugs, that's what we call them here in the south.  Elsewhere they are called fireflies.  What ever you call them they are super fun to watch in the grass at night.
After coloring, I bling-ed mine up with some glitter and the stars got a little sprinkling of glitter too.  I had to draw the antennas back in after they were cut off, but you can see (and snag to put it in a glass jar) the image HERE on Hambo's site.  I used the MS fringe scissors to create the grass, (my new fave toy).

Alas!!!!!

Poor Yorick!!!!!

Haunted Design House is all about the cranium this week, yours and Yorick's.
But you are in better shape that Poor Yorick, your cranium still has it's contents. Use those contents and dig into the challenge before its tooooo late.  Create a card with a skull(s).

Mine is wearing a jester's hat that I drew and cut out.  The skull is from Rock Princess cricut cart. Some DSP, ribbon, dimensionals and some bling and we have Poor Yorick.

Hippity Hoppity.....Easter's on its way!!!!

Down the rabbit hole!!!!

This easter bunny is a little camera shy. But I got him before he got away.  Maybe he's hiding his easter eggs in that hole.

We have bunnies in our yard and this is the view we see most often.......bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

The deets are very simple:
Bunny body - 1-3/4" circle punch.
Bunny feet - large oval punch (SU!)
small oval punch (SU!)
toes - are a bic marker
Tail - largest flower from boho blossom punch (SU!)
Hole - 1-3/4" circle punch
Used a dimensional to on the tail.

Sentiment is from the stamp set from SU! called "A good egg"

I had to keep this one kinda simple as I'm mailing out a lot and didn't want the postage to get too expensive.

Until later, blog hoppers.....Gotta split......TFL!!!!

Old Age SUCKS!!!!!

Not really, but I made this too cute display for a birthday party and thought you might like to see it too!!!!
I purchased these suckers at Wally world for 10 cents each.  Yep, they were in the Valentine's clearance and thought they went well with the sentiment. There are 72 suckers in all and I got the display for free, after all it is just cardboard displays that the sucker company furnished with their product. You can see that they originally were $1 each..... 90% off ain't bad, huh?????

Close-up of one of the suckers.  They are a hard taffy!!!! They were very large, about the size of my hand.

I had to decorate the sides as well, I used a fiskars lips punch and adhered them to the sides.

Now using my Expression and my Gypsy..... {I heart my Cricut} I used the Birthday Bash cart. and placed the lettering just so and cut out a shadow using a metallic paper and then cut the reg. font out using pink cardstock.  Here they are at the party before they were stripped........Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!
Ohhhh.... I forgot that I used a strip of pink cardstock and punched out the lips and then adhered the strip to the front.

It's all business today!!!

Business sized card........that is!!!!!

Cricut cardz challenge for today is to create a 9" X 4" card using any theme or any cricut cart you wish....easy enough, huh???
I chose the saxophone image from Quarter Note cart.  My daughter is in her first year of band and this is her instrument of choice.  We are so proud of her, she is second chair and she loves band.  I can't wait until she starts marching.  I hope she sticks with it and plays in the band all the way thru school. There were a few iffy moments when she wanted to give up, but we told her to keep trying and now she loves it!!!!!

All that and a bag of chips!!!!!

Just sent off my images for an image swap and this I enclosed for the host.  Because it can be a daunting task to set up everything and then wait on the snail mail and then send everything back out.
Love these Hanna Stamps images.  The company is no longer in operation, but I still love 'em!!!!
This was a pretty easy card to put together..... I let the DSP dictate the colors to use on my cute girlie!!!!  Added some pre-cut flowers and half pearls and ta daaaaa, awesome-ness!!!!!!

Munster....monster....... ????

Herman, Lily, Eddie, Grandpa, and Marilyn are beloved monsters munsters to me. I remember watching this show wishing they lived next door to me.  What fun that would have been.!!!  I even featured "spot"...their under the stairs pet by embossing the green layer to look like his skin.  I {heart} them so much I have the show's theme song as my ring tone on my phone. It isn't the "elevator music" type ring either....its the real deal. Everytime it rings when I'm out and about; people stop to listen and say .... "I know that song"  Then when they figure it out (sometimes with a little help) they always respond "I loved that show"

Haunted Design House challenge is "Beloved Monsters" this week. I couldn't think of another beloved  monster munster to honor for this week's challenge.  There's some monsterific creations over at HDH.  See ya there!!!!

Prayers for a friend....

I have a friend that recently lost her father.  I feel her pain; as I have lost both of my parents sooo many years ago.  Both of my parents had tragic endings.  My Daddy was in a traffic accident when I was just 16 yrs.old and my Mama suffered a long battle with lung cancer just 7 yrs. later.....when I was a young 23 yrs. old.  I miss them both sooo much still today. A week doesn't go by that I don't think about them and wish they could be here to enjoy their grands and great-grands.
My friend is a lady that we scrapbook with and she has had a rough time recently with her father suffering from alzheimers and heart problems. I know she'll be fine as she has great moral support from her family and friends.

Until later, FRIENDS......Gotta split......TFL!!!!!!

Happy, happy, happy birthday !!!!!

I have a milestone birthday coming up this month (the 10th to be exact).....
I'm turning a half-century old.  I really don't mind saying that out loud either.

The big 5-0hhhh!!! I plan on celebrating for at least a week.....may be just a party of one a day or two, but a celebration none the less......Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha~!!!!

This card was created for a monthly card swap I'm in. The host is a really good friend from our scrapbooking group. She is the sweetest person alive.  I kept it quite simple this month.  Still trying to get over the creeping cruds......feeling better and better every day.   I'll probably be wearing a hat like one of these above in the near future.

Until later, gifties...........Gotta split.........TFL!!!!
