I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Come on by and sit a spell and "STAMP 'TIL YA CRAMP!!! & "CROP 'TIL YA DROP!!!"

Swipe, swipe, swipe.......

....swipe.....that's music to my ears.

It's the sound my credit card makes when I make a purchase
using a card reader at the register.

Who doesn't love to shop, well.......besides most men.

Isn't this the cutest evah?????
When I saw this stamp I couldn't help but think of coloring it pink.
It reminded me of some posh celeb that doesn't want paparazzi to bother them, so they
dye their dog pink to go in cognito......Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!

Viva Las Vegastamps! has some of the cutest and most unsual stamps around.
You can SHOP for them HERE!!!!
You can click below and it will take you right to the stamps I used above....
But don't forget to mosey around and find some other goodies!!!!

There is an 'old' movie I remember watching as a re-run one saturday when I was a kid that had a blonde woman in it that loved the color pink.
EVERYTHING, and I mean everything was painted pink.
I believe it was an old 50's movie.  It drove her man in the movie NUTSO.

Now me personally, I don't have quite the fondness for pink like a lot of crafters.
I've seen room after room after room that they designate for crafting, painted pink.

Colors do affect your mood somewhat.....
below are some things that I found.

PINK
Of course we all know pink as the true girly-girl’s favorite color, but it’s also associated with romance and happiness. Pink is very calming, so don’t wear it if you need tons of energy. While pink's calming effect has been demonstrated, researchers of color psychology have found that this effect only occurs during the initial exposure to the color. When used in prisons, inmates often become even more agitated once they become accustomed to the color.
Pink is thought to have a calming effect. One shade known as "drunk-tank pink" is sometimes used in prisons to calm inmates. Sports teams sometimes paint the opposing teams locker room pink to keep the players passive and less energetic.

Previously my studio was painted a pastel sage green by the previous owner and I HATED it.  Come to find out that green is in fact a nauseous color....it can make you actually feel sick.
So then I painted my room a very calming AQUA BLUE
Blue

The color of the sky and the ocean, blue is one of the most popular colors.  Peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms.  Fashion consultants recommend wearing blue to job interviews because it symbolizes loyalty. People are more productive in blue rooms.

Blue is one of the most popular colors, but it is one of the least appetizing. Some weight loss plans even recommend eating your food off of a blue plate. Blue rarely occurs naturally in food aside from blueberries and some plums. Also, humans are geared to avoid foods that are poisonous and blue coloring in food is often a sign of spoilage or poison.

So think twice before painting your walls...but I say if you LOVE a color then go for it. It will make you the happiest in the end.

Cricut is going to school......

I have 3 grand daughters that will be going back to school soon and I wanted to give them a head start on fashion.
You can never start them too early, right????

My solution was a cute book bag.

I found these cute bags already embellished with these
metallic stars....
what girl doesn't love bling at any age.

I wanted to personalize them so they wouldn't get them mixed up when they are together.
I used my Cricut Expression and the Hannah Montana cartridge.
I love the fonts on it and I knew the
star font was the one I would use.
I used white heat transfer vinyl and cut their names out.

Make sure you use the reverse mirror option or the wording will end up backwards on your project.

I then ironed them on to the front of the bags and now they have a cute book bag that will be the envy of the other girls.

Don't they all have the cutest names, evah!!!!!

I also have a grandson and his name is Ben.  We are expecting a new grand daughter any day and her name will be Charli.......so cool.

Until later, fellow bag ladies.......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!!!!

Doing the can-can !!!

Not the kicking my heels up can-can.....
but after tasting all this delish canned
goodies I hope the family will be!!!!

Our victory garden has been very kind to us this year.
So, we've been very busy harvesting, cooking, canning, freezing
and eating all its bounty.

Below is just a small sampling of some of the garden goodness.

Yeah, I know I can't leave well enough alone. Even as busy as the harvesting, cooking and canning has kept me;
I still have to 'get my craft on'.

The jar is a stamp from an older Stampin' Up! set...and I have seen the holiday mini and they now have another jar stamp set that may have my name on it.
The name plate wording was computer generated.....I love playing with different fonts.

Gotta go, I'm sure something is ready to be picked, canned, cooked or just simply admired.

Until later, can-can-ers........Gotta split......TFL!!!!!!

Gauche Alchemy blog hop

Love making home decor.

I recently made another little vignette for my sewing station in my art studio.

I'm on the design team for Viva Las Vegastamps!
We received a beautiful swap package from Gauche Alchemy to work into our project....
below is a pic of the items in a before state.

I had several stamps, emphera (from Gauche Alchemy)
and some items from my own stash.

Here's a pic of all the items used (plus a few more items sneaked in)
to create this beautiful vignette.

You really need to check out Gauche Alchemy....they put together the most creative kits.

The kit I received was color themed and the items all seemed to fit together like ....
Six degrees of Kevin Bacon.

This post should be called the 'Six degrees of Viva Las Vegastamps' !!!

Until later, stashers........Gotta split........TFL!!!!!

I'm not weird......

well, there might be a difference of opinion if you ask my family....
I just like to think of myself as weird but in a good way!!!

Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!

Love this one........feathers and all.
I have found that lately I have a thing for aqua, any shade of aqua....

My bedroom, my daughters room and
now my kitchen have shades of aqua as one of the main accent colors....
well, not its moved onto my cards.

Deets and Supplies:
Basic base card (black cs) then I cut a layer of a blue dsp
and ran it thru my crimper.
I couldn't find a piece that I was happy with for the next layer so I created my own using embossing powder.
I used a piece of white cs and sprinkled embossing powder
onto the surface.
Three different colors....black, agua, and a silvery glitter one.
Now, I knew if I tried to use the heat gun it would have blown it all away because I didn't use any adhesive to hold it in place, so I put the heat gun on the bottom of the paper and melted the powder that way.......waa lllaaaaa
Pretty cool, huh????
I then stamped the image with staz-on ink onto some
kromecote paper  that VLVS carries.
Let me tell you, its one of the most crisp image I have ever stamped.
It has a finish on it that makes it a little glossy
and the ink kinda just sits on top...so no bleeding.
I fussy cut around the image and used dimensionals to adhere it.
Stamped the sentiment on some aqua cs and then used
a MS border punch on the bottom edge.
Added some feathers and some dew drops and called it done.

Be weird like the rest of us artsy fartsy folks and order you some kromecote and stamps and get to creating.

Until later, weirdos........Gotta split.........TFL!!!!!!
