I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Come on by and sit a spell and "STAMP 'TIL YA CRAMP!!! & "CROP 'TIL YA DROP!!!"

NO day at the beach........

.......when you are painting and re-organizing.  I'm exhausted and I'm only halfway done.  This was the original color of my studio.  YUCKKK!!!  No, I didn't paint it these colors......Bwahahahahahahaha. It was the previous owner and yes its two different colors.   Baby sh*t yellow and puke green.....LOL.

This is the new color I'm painting it.  The color matches my expression.   Yeah!!!!!!  I have the blue one with the beautiful florishes on it.
NOW, this is a day at the beach.  We went to the San Fran. zoo and across the street is this beautiful beach.  The name of it is Ocean Beach, original huh???  LOL  PhotobucketThe beach was covered in these beautiful sun-bleached sand dollars.  Of course, we HAD to bring some back.  It was sooooo cold in San Fran and this was this past July.
Until later, beach lovers..........Gotta (paint) split......TFL!!!!!!

Bird doggin'....????

This our big 'ol bird dog.....http://planetsmilies.net/happy-smiley-575.gifBwahahahahahahaha!!!   Thats about as close as he will ever get to being one.....drinking out of the bird bath.  He's getting almost too old and too fat to get up there, sometimes it  takes him a couple of tries to get to the liquid refreshment. We have even put his water bowl outside while we are out there with him and he still prefers the bird bath...... I really hope he hasn't gotten a liking for bird pee......Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!
Anyhoooooo......this is one of my scrapbook pages I finished recently, no challenges, no contests; just wanted to scrap!!!
The title is from the Paper Pups cricut cart.....it has been discontinued.http://planetsmilies.net/confused-smiley-17432.gif  I LOVE that cart., it has some awesome stuff on it.  The bird border on top of the pic is a MS border punch I found on clearance. The birdbath cutout is from the Sentimentals cricut cart.  The rest is just some stickers and stuff that I had in my stash.

Until later, Ladybirds........Gotta (fly)split........TFL!!!!!

School is back in session.....!!!!

Yippeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
I love that school is back in session.  Hubs said that I would miss having Harlee around all day.  Does it make me a bad mom that I love some free time during the day????? I think not.  He gets a break from work when he gets home doesn't he?  I am a mom 24-7!!!!  No breaks!!! Though she is a very easy child to have around, I just need a breather every now and then, who doesn't?  After all I have been raising children for the last 31 yrs. none stop. Before Harlee gets old enough to get out on her own I will have raised children for over 40 yrs.  LOL  Wowzers!!!!  Not complaining, I love all my children and grandchildren more than life itself.  I must love all children as I'm a substitute teacher also......LOL. But you have to admit that is a long time to be a nursemaid, wash-woman, cook, bottle-washer....etc......... Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

OK, now to the meat of it all........the CARD!!!!
There is a challenge over on the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog to create something school inspired.  I used Just Because cart. for the apple and also used an embossing folder  for the white mat.  The ribbon is some that my niece gave me. my niece is the one that got me started doing paper crafts.  She's an avid scrapbooker and thats how I started.  I have always been into arts and crafts and an avid painter, but never ventured into the world of paper......now I'm here to stay.

Until later, teachers.....Gotta split....TFL!!!!!

National (Princess) Dog Day...

How do you like my princess doggie????
There's a challenge at My Creative Time that's asks you to make a "Princess" related card.  I was finishing up a scrapbook page for our dog Booboo and Paper Pups cart was already in my expression; so I thought why not?.?.?.? And it is National Dog Day according to the calendar.
After all, our fur-babies can be princesses or heck even named Princess.....Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!
I found this cute little image that has a crown and chose the circle feature button and 'bark...bark' it was done. Some onion skin paper was added behind the cut-out.
Super cute, huh????

Don't miss out on all the fun......Come on girl....{snapping fingers}....Come on.....to My Creative Time to enter!!!!!

Until later, fur-princes and fur-princesses......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!

I'm tickled PINK......

To be participating in this challenge.
I'm a horror movie buff and love anything scary.

When I thought of this challenge to use pink in a scary/macabre way....I instantly thought of the shower scene from the classic movie.....Psycho !
Yeah, I know.....the movie was in black and white, but I can just see the shower curtain was pink in real life.  Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

I used the Heritage cartridge for the bathtub (layered it twice to give it a shadow for her to stand in and Forever Young for the girl sihlouette, I had to do a little strategic trimming to get her clothes off though.  The shower curtain is vellum that I rubbed with some pink ink and used a MS border punch on the bottom.
The sentiment is from a fortune cookie stamp and the inside it says "Means trouble."

I was going to add a knife somewhere on here,  but I liked it more vague.  The movie itself is Alfred Hitchcock vague, what's better than the unknown.......Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Get cleaned up and come on over and be a guest in the challenge too...... Haunted Design House is the place.

Until later, my pretties..........Gotta split............TFL!!!!!

Here pishy, pishy, pishy.....

I remember when Harlee was little and had a goldfish.  She loved that goldfish and she would stick her nose to the side of the bowl and she would say' "Here pishy, pishy, pishy."  The fish would come to see her staring at it and she thought she had it trained.  I didn't have the heart to tell her that the fish was just seeing her and not hearing her and it was only hoping for more food.
Ahhhh, sweet innocence!!!!!!
I made this cutie for the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog and for the sweet lady that runs the blog....Miss Mary. I used Create a Critter cartridge and the sentiment is from a stamp that I got at Michaels in their $ bin. The stamp has a fish/fishbowl on it also, but I masked it off so I could just use the sentiment.

I will be putting it in the mail today.....swim on over and enter the challenge too!!!!

Until later, minnows........Gotta (swim) split...........TFL!!!!!!

Time for a change......

I wanted to re-do Jeff's office, since it is the first room whne you enter the front door.  It was primarily used as a catch-all and I was very unhappy.  Below you will see the process and why I haven't been on here lately.  I had to move everything from the room, rip up carpet, paint the room from ceiling to the floor, rent a floor sander, stain the floor,  poly-ed the floor......LOOOONG process. and then start the decorating......

Pictures are totally out of order but here goes........ The green chair was one that I had in our basement forever.  I just didn't have the heart to get rid of it.   So if you scroll down you will see the end result.....wait for it, wait for it.....LOL

PhotobucketThis little school desk is another little find of mine that I just had to have.....
The CHAIR.....yep I painted it.  Bwahahahahahahaha, as most of you know I will paint on anything that doesnt move.....and it didnt move fast enough......Bwahahahahahaha.  I used acrylic paint (since  I have loads of it) and I have used acrylics on t-shirts, so I figured why not?!?!?!?!?!

This is Booboo trying to help.....I had to physically move him to different spots to get the floor done.  This is a picture of Jeff office after......I like it!!!
This the finished floor......above.
This is the before ..... I unearthed this beautiful floor when I ripped up the carpet.  Our house is approx. 60 yrs old and I love the character this house has.......
  :)

Sorry the pics are so out of order, but blogger has been giving me fits lately.....

Got milk.......

cartons......that is!!!!

I was playing around in my studio today and Halloween came to mind.  I grabbed some kraft paper and found a carton template on line and whipped this little 'treat' up.  Yarn is from a haul from Big Lots and the stamp and the punches are from SU!  I didnt glue the top, just added a paper clip and halloween pencils and POOF, like magic......a treat was created.
Wouldn't these be super treats for your next halloween party???
I'm going to make up a few for Harlee to hand out to a few friends.

Until later, spookers.........Gotta split.........TFL!!!!

The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round......

This is Harlee's first year riding a school bus.  The reason she's riding the bus is a two-parter...first, its time for her to spread her wings (after all, she is a 6th grader) and secondly, I really dont want to have to drive and then wait in that pick up line....arrgghhh!!!  She actually loves riding the bus.  Harlee is a social butterfly and it just gives her more time to socialize.  This card is also a two-parter, I made it for Harlee and also its a challenge card over at Cricut Cardz Challenge blog.  See challenge #37. So, what are you waiting for? Jump on the bus and ride over there and give it a GO....you'll be happy you did!!!!

Until later, other taxi moms..........Gotta (ride) split.........TFL!!!!!

***Addendum to this post......arrrgghhh, I forgot a color....ORANGE.***
and I forgot to tell you the cricut cart. I used for the bus.....

Preserved sweetness................

This is what I have been doing lately......making preserves.
Of course, I had to make labels for them all.....bwahahahahahahaha.
I made fig preserves, fig syrup, and blackberry preserves.....yummmmmmmy!!!!
We have just about finished a jar of fig preserves already....lol.
I remember growing up and my granny (Mama Lena) making fig preserves.... Papa Ray would pick the figs and he would replace the netting back on the fig tree/bush so the birds couldn't snatch those precious amber globes.  Us, grandkids snuck a few off the tree though......!!!! Ahhh, 'sweet' memories!!!!

Until later, sweeties..............Gotta split...............TFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fun in the "Pagoda".......

Sounds kinda 'kinky'..... huh?
Bwahahahahahahaha, nope just good clean fun using the Pagoda cricut cart.  Flowerdisco's Scrap Hut is having a challenge.....swim on over and take a peek.
I have been lurking under the water at her blog for a while now......decided it was time to get my head above the water, take a breather and join in the fun.
Dive on in and follow the deets for the challenge.....see ya there!!!!
{All puns intended....bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!}
Here are the deets for my card: I used the fish on page 42......the swirl-ies at on the botom of the paper is from a stamp that I bought at Michael's a while back in the dollar bin.
Used a white gel pen for highlighting and distressed the edges with ink.... added some ribbon.

Until later, my little minnows........Gotta {swim} split.............TFL!!!!

Franken-tastic.......

Frankie is giving you some 'black eyed susans'.........Bwahahahahahahah!!!

'eye' love the Mini Monsters cricut cart.  Halloween is one of my fave holidays.....after all!!!!  'eye' made this card for my chance to be on the Pink Cricut design team.  She asked that you design a card that would go with one of her stamp sets. Betcha can guess which set 'eye' made this card to go with......LOL
Just click on the link to scoot on over and check out all the deets for the DT.....{hint...the link is Pink}.....Bwahahahahahaha.
'EYE' think it turned out pretty cute!!!!!

Keeping my newts toes and witches fingers crossed........

OoooooOOoooooOOOo...(flap, flap, flap)..oooooooOOOOooo

Can't you just hear the wind blowing and the wings
'a flutter'.....Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!
Fly on over to Haunted Design House and enter the challenge for this week.  You have to include something with wings into your design .....the challenge is called AFLUTTER
Super fun,  super scary and super easy........!!!!!!  The stamp set I used is from SU!.... I just love that creepy tree. I used versamark and embossed the tree with Ranger walnut stain distressing embossing powder (sorry...not sure if you can get it anymore.).The bats and the border are from an older MS border punch.  I used a circle punch for the moon and the fence is a MS border punch too. All that is missing is a tombstone, but that was an afterthought and I didnt feel like going back to add it. I distressed the edges with chocolate chip ink, added some ribbon and tada!!!!!!!

Until later, batzellas................Gotta (fly)split..............TFL!!!!!!

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............

........looks like Jeff is taking a nap.  Or as he tells me, he's just resting his eyes...bwahahahahahahahaha!!
Yeah, right!!!!
I made this little cutie for his birthday (which is Saturday).  I know what you are thinking....  he may see this before his b'day.  Nope, no worries.....he doesn't visit my blog, I doubt he remembers the name of it.  bwahahahahahahaha!!!
I think the image is from Hambo Stamps, but I can't be sure about that....please let me know if you know for sure.  I colored it with color pencils, OMS and a stump.

The sentiment on the inside says.......you walk into an antique store and the first words out of your mouth are..."Hey, I remember that ! "
Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Until later, fellow nappers.........Gotta split..............TFL!!!!!!

No 'croak' about it........

Jeff's birthday is the 7th and he's turning 52.  I made this card using Mini Monsters cricut cart. for Harlee to send to her daddy.  I embossed the base, added all the layers and, of course, we had to add some googly eyes.  Love the Mini Monsters cart..... there is a card option for most of the images......awesome!!!!

Until later, princesses................Gotta split.........TFL!!!!!
