I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Serene Sepia

Pretty simple card for today.

Stamped the image with brown ink and loved the look of it.
So, I didn't want to muddy it up and color it.
I kept the rest of the card monochromatic.
Scrap corrugated paper torn from an old box.
Used a punch to make the composition book style edge from SU!
Added some miracle tape along the bottom of and attached seam binding.
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and
then embossed with a linen color
powder.

Very serene looking card.....can be used for anything.

This beautiful image you can get here @ Viva Las Vegastamps!!
Pick up the entire plate that is loaded with gorgeous flowers and sentiments....HERE

I wasn't sure what this particular flower represented.
I googled it and this is what I found.
Its a type of Wolfsbane.
You can check it out below.

Until later, Serene seekers..........Gotta split.........TFL!!!!

TAG....You're it !!!

I'm tagging in the next Guest DT to join in the macabre world of

This has been a blast this month working with some
great themes, great digis and very talented ladies.

This weeks challenge involves a strange brew of sorts.
So here is the recipe you must follow to play along with us in the dungeon this week.
Begin with 2 layers (actual card counts as one layer)
Add 1 main image panel
Mix in some metal bits of your choosing
Add some drops of black pearls
Gently fold in 1 punched element
Tie up nicely with some ribbon or trim

I didn't quite accomplish all of the recipe but most of it.
I didnt have any black pearls, nor did I use some metal bits.
But all in all I did follow most of the recipe.
andddddd
We are sponsored this week by

Strange Skin has a unique selection of digital images
that pander more to the horror hounds and macabre minded.
They have darkly beautiful images too. You should check them out
and decide for yourself.

So I'm ending my time with this lovely below:

The image I chose was toe tag.  I love it!!!

I colored it with color pencils, and some chalk. Printed another image to cut out the tag to make it more dimensional.
Found an old obsolete dictionary and torn out pages to use
for a background (inked them).
Then I used an old magazine for the lettering...ransom letter look.

This is the inside of the card.
I made a tag card and adhered it to a piece of cardstock.

Check out the pages that I chose from the dictionary.

Well, that's it for me and I just know the next DT member that I tagged in will not lie down on the job and their work will be drop dead fantabulous!!!

See ya when I see ya!!!!

Until later, wannabe coroners......Gotta play footsie split.....TFL!!!!Photobucket

Sugar....ahhhhh honey honey!!!!1

I'm becoming a "SUGAR" once again....
for those that don't know...
that's what my grandchildren call me.

I'm SUGAR and scrubby is lovingly referred to as POPPY.

Another girly girl will be here sometime in late July.
They won't tell me any names that they have picked yet...so I have
given her the name GIRLY GIRL.

My daughter, Heather is having the new addition and
she did tell me that she wanted the colors of pink and brown.

So this is the result of playing around with different things and
I'm submitting this to Hobby Lobby
for their submission call of their magazine.

Keeping my toesies crossed and hoping mine gets picked.

Deets:

Coral cardstock
Brown cs for the shoes
Green polkadot DSP
Coral checks is from Modern Homemaker stack from October Afternoon
Cricut cart - Kate's ABC's
Tiny green baby buttons
and the embellies are some that I made....(directions are below).

How to make sculpey roses

1. Roll out a very thin rope.
Once you have the rope rolled out to the thickness you want
start rolling it into a coil.
I used a peachy skin tone color....you'll see why.

2. Stop coiling when you get to the desired size of rose you want
and pinch off the rest of the rope.

3. Bake the clay you choose according to the package directions.

4. Using an old paint brush I dusted the baked rose with chalk and glittered chalk until
I had the desired color.

5. I punch out some leaves with a MS punch and inked along the edges and used my stylus to create the center vein and attached to rose with glue dots.

I love how these turned out.  I made a beaucoups* of these while watching TV one night.

(*For you non-southerners - beaucoups definition)
 beau·coup  (bk, b-, b-k) also boo·coo or boo·koo (b-) Chiefly Southern U.S.
adj.
Many; much: beaucoup money.
n. pl. beau·coups also boo·coos or boo·koos
An abundance; a lot.

Eerie Elegance

Elegance in any form is wonderful to look at...right???

Here's my rendition of Eerie Elegance.

Haunted Design House's challenge for this week is just that.

I found this cool royal skull image while on the net and printed it out.  I only colored the crown very little with a silver marker. We always think of royalty as elegant, as least I do. The image was so pretty....I didn't want to mess it up.  Then cut out a frame with Happy Hauntings cricut cart.
Added some gems, ribbon, punched spider.

Simple simple!!!!

Happy Daddy's Day !!!

Anyone can be a father, but you know what they say....
It takes someone special to be a DADDY!!!!!

HUGE Happy Daddy's Day to my Scrubby !!!!

I made this card for OUR daughter to give to him today!!!
I used the Cricut cart. A Child's Year, embossing folder a label maker.

Pretty simple; but I {heart} this card!!!!

Short story below.....warning you in case you might get bored.

My hubs is not OUR daughter's natural father.
He legally adopted her 3 years ago.
He and I were sitting on the couch one day and he just brought up the idea and of course I started crying and we brought her in
the room and asked her what she thought of the idea....
and when she started crying we knew the answer.

Her BD as we so NON-lovingly call him BIO-DAD....abandoned her when we moved back home here to GA.
I never thought that anyone would ever forget their child.
I mean, you hear stories and all.
But I thought I was a pretty good judge of character and he fooled me for 6 LOOOOOng years.

No bother, now my daughter has the bestest daddy around and BD is never even thought of or mentioned and I intend on keeping it that way.  No, she doesn't read my blog, so no worries there.  Besides, she's 13 yrs old now and she knows what kind of person he is and its in no way her fault why he has chosen this path.
She gets all the love she could ever want and more.
We are truly blessed to have a wonderful man in our lives!!!!

So.....
HAPPY DADDY'S DAY TO ALL THE GREATS DADDYS OUT THERE!!!!

Until later,  daddys.........Gotta split........TFL!!!!!!

Love 'em or ya hate 'em !!!

Let me just say, I'm not a cat lover..... I know I know!!!
Please no hate mail!!!!

We never had cats growing up, we had a dog that was treated like a family member.
Now,  we have another 80 lbs of lap love that is one of the family.

This is a picture I painted of her last year. It was a present to her Daddy (my scrubby).
Her name is Looloo Belle.

We had another dog that tragically passed away last October, his name was Booboo.

Pic of Looloo laying beside her buddy's grave not to long ago.
I think she misses him.
Yes, we even purchased a tombstone for his grave that's in our backyard.
The cross is no longer there....I made it just to use temporarily.

Now on to the real reason you're here.

No cats were harmed in the making of this card.
Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Supplies:
Green googly eyes
Cricut w/ Love my Kitchen cartridge.

Simply layering of the card base, DSP, then the cut-out image of the
 fridge from the Cricut.
Stamped the cat image with gray ink and added the eyes. Used a gray marker to make his mouth look like he was surprised.
Inked around the edges a little to give it more definition.
Stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then heat embossed it in red.

Sorry to all the true cat lovers out there.....!!!!

I know what....I can make it up to you with
 a real nice chinese dinner!!!!!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Until later, kitchen warriors......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!!

Audrey III

Perplexing title???

No, not really......
Check it out below.......

Haunted Design House challenge for today is a color challenge, but
not just any challenge its Perplexing Pigment Play....
The colors are black, lime, purple & teal
Anddddd its also being sponsered by Bugaboo Digi Stamps.
I chose the flower vase image that you can get HERE.

Eeeekkkk!!!  What Fun!!!!!!

You know you have to scary it up a bit ........for HDH.

So I added a some googly eyes after coloring the image with markers.
I punched out some suns (MS punch) and cut it in half to make the eyelashes.
I added some at the bottom of the vase....kinda reminded me of thorny grass.
Added some ribbon and a little glitter.

I think I'll call her Audrey III
Do you think these eyes follow you like the ones in old portraits ????
Hmmmmm.....wonder what she eats, or worse
how much mascara she would need!!!!

Until later, Audrey II owners.........Gotta split.......TFL!!!!!

Shake your booty!!!

Shake....shake
Shake....shake

Yep, its a shaker card.  Been a long time since I made one of these.
They are really fun !!!!

Peek through the window and you'll see an image
of a beautiful lady in a hat partaking a cocktail.

See her?????

Well, just wait till you open the card.
But be sure to read the sentiment on the front first........

Wait for it......

wait for it.......

Now!!!!

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

This will surely give the recipient a giggle!!!!!
If not, then that person is truly someone I wouldn't want to be around....!!!

You can get the rubbah here to make a card like this yourself.

Few more deets about the card:
I used some old foam to make the shaker part.
The clear is made from some old packing that
I saved just for this purpose.
The fat-free (teehee) Chocolate kiss stickers were a gift from a friend.

Viva Las Vegastamps! truly has some great schtuffff .

Grab your cocktail and a fist full of chocolate and shop around a bit.
You won't be sorry; well, until someone takes a picture of you from
behind and you notice where that chocolate went.

But who cares when you're sitting in a chair stamping
 with VLVS stamps
who's going to notice anyway.....
and
Rubber stamps are FAT-FREE!!!!

Truebie or NOT Truebie......

Sorry to say that I'm NOT!!!
We don't have HBO and I have never seen one episode
of TRUE BLOOD.  :(

Maybe one day I'll purchase the DVD's and watch it all.

This little beauty was created for Haunted Design House.
I'm a Guest Designer for the month of June.
EEEEEeeeeeeekkkk !!!!

I've been joining in on the challenges (new one every monday)
as often as I can and
its truly been so much fun.

Now for the real reason you are here.
As the title to this post states its all about the
 HBO series TRUE BLOOD.

To get inspiration I googled it and found out that its about
Vampires....what else. I also found out that one of the vampires LOVES
Waterford Crystal.
I just recently purchased these 'bloody' ice cubes from Hobby Lobby on clearance and thought they were perfect in this martini glass.....
{My Waterford Crystal was in the shop}....
Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

I found this image of this spikey haired, suited lovely in my stash of uncolored images that I received from a friend and thought he was perfect.
What else would you wear while enjoying your most tasty bloody cocktail.

I colored him with my color pencils and blended with a
paper stump and OMS.
The paper is from DCWV Immortal paper pack.
Of course I had to use the drippy goo punch from MS.
A few scraps and some inking and I call it Truely Truebie!!!!

I'm really looking forward to my DT time for Haunted Design House.

Hmmmmmm.....
all of the current Design Team have cool monikers.

Creepy ????  Nah.....
Chaotic????  Nah......
Crusty????

Yep, that's it Crusty Crystal....

If it to be known....one of my hubs pet names for me is CRUSTY...
so its a perfect fit.

Until later, Truebies and non Truebies.......Gotta split......TFL!!!!

Hmmmmmm.....

I would like to dedicate this post to my Mama....God rest her soul.
She was a prime example of a woman that could speak her mind and the recipient would thank her afterwards.

I think ladies in the south have a way with words....they can tell you to go to Hell and you'll be looking forward to the trip.

Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

This beauty is what I imagine my mama sorta looked like when
she was a young girl in the 40's.  We have no pictures to prove it.  Our house burned down when I was 8 yrs. old and we lost everything.  The only pics I have are the ones that we have gotten from relatives over the years.
But I have had many people tell me that she was very beautiful when she was younger but she truly didn't know how beautiful she was.
But that didn't stop her from being who she was and she was "special".

Her older sister, my Aunt Janetta, told me a few years ago that my Mama was different;
 but in a good way....
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

This 'lovely lady' is from Viva Las Vegastamps!
You can get her HERE!!!
The sentiment you can get here......
You know what bitch stand for don't ya.....
Babe In Total Control of Herself

Here's a close-up of the crystal lacquer I applied after I colored the image.
