About Me

I would classify myself as an artist. It took me a while to finally accept that monicker, but that's what I am; AN ARTIST!!! I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. New challenges are afoot...

Don't ya love a good challenge to get your blood pumping on the start of a new week... Well, we have just the thing for ya, go check out the brand spankin' new challenge blog...Whimsy Stamps Challenge Blog. The first challenge is TODAY!!! The challenge is to make a card for an occasion/celebration....its wide open. This blog features Whimsy Stamps, so if ya got 'em...use 'em. If not, thats OK too...but in order to win some great freebies you have to use a Whimsy stamp image, sorry, them's tha rules.. we really want you to join in the fun. But after seeing all the great projects on the blog...I'm sure you will want some Whimsy Stamps too. Whimsy's images are too adorable.
My card featured above is a card that I made to congrat-EWE-late all of the new Design Team for this blog....a lot of them are brand spankin' new too (including ME!!!....bwahahahaha), but they are a bunch of very talented ladies {waving to team...over there---->near the top... see them waving back}.
You can click on any name and learn a little more about them if ya likey.
Card deets: Image was stamped onto white card stock, I colored it with color pencils, mineral spirits and blended with a stump. Then layered onto light blue textured card stock (found at Mikey's). The DSP is from Me and MY Big Ideas, I added some lt. blue ribbon, then layered it all together onto some more lt. blue textured card stock. I paper toile'd the head and cut out an extra flower from the dsp for more dimension. I used my paper punch to poke holes near the lamb's neck to insert the ribbon. Some white brads, some twine and a sentiment printed from the computer (added to a tag) completes the card.

Hope you join us today for the challenge, we will be back in two weeks with another challenge. But if you guys like the challenges, then we might be back sooner.....depending on popular demand.... I sound like a commercial....{waiting on musical interlude} until later.
Gotta split........TFL
