Getting punchy.....

Jeff thinks I'm getting punchy..... bwahahahahaha. I don't mind being a little punchy every now and again, keeps things interesting. Don't ya think??? HA! Ok, let me tell you a little bit about the card before I lose ya all together.... bwahahahahaha

Deets: My grandson will be turning 3 in July, yeah, I know; I'm way early. But I always do things way ahead, it keeps me sane. More on my sanity later....bwahahahahaha.

I recently found a Drippy Goo Punch (MS), I have been looking for one forever. MS came out with them around halloween last year. I'm still kicking myself for not getting it then. I first punched 3 whisper white circles with 1-1/2" punch. Then, I inserted the circles into the drippy goo punch to just cut off the bottom of the circle. See where I'm going with this. I used a sponge to distress the edges and give just a little color to the scoops, then I added some tombow glue and glittered 'em up. I cut the cone out by hand and glued all the pieces together. I punched a 1/2" circle for the cherry and hand cut the stem and leaf(distressed the leaf). The word stamp I got from Big Lots a while back. Added the other wording with a sharpie. The 3 is punched out from a set that I got from Big Lots too. What better thing to put on a card than a 3 scooper for a 3 yrs old, especially chocolate.
Ok, now back to me doing things way early and my sanity(or punchiness)....LOL I despise being late, that is one of my biggest pet peeve; I would rather not go at all than to show up late. The other biggie pet peeve I have is clean shoes.... funny huh? I mean really!! So, grab a cloth and clean them already....bwahahahahaha, Believe me, people look(or maybe just me....oh well.) Until later sweeties.....Gotta split.....TFL

Normal.....whats that????

Nothing is normal at my house.... with me in charge....bwhahahahahahaha!

Ok, we got the thumbs up to show you some things the "Sugars" from Modern Sugar Blvd. have been working on. This image currently isn't available for purchase yet, but keep your eyes peeled 'cause it will debut soon, as with many, many more designs, woohoo!!! I did very little coloring of the washer and dryer, but the 'kicker' is the shaker part. I wanted my machines to come alive, almost makes me wish my washer and dryer was really this 'blingy'. Then maybe I wouldn't mind having to do laundry as much...bwahahahahahahaha. It turned out suh-weet, I think!
Deets: Just as I said above, I made a shaker using acetate, dimensionals, glitter and tiny glass beads. If you are not sure how to do it, check out SCS here for the details....very simple, but WOW!!! Found some dsp that I thought had the WOW appeal to it, layered it. The bubble holes were made with a 'Bubble Maker' punch from Creative Memories. The sentiment was printed from the computer. No, I didn't come up with that one on my own....I have a wooden sign hanging in my laundry room that has that saying painted on it.
Until later,bubbles......Gotta split....TFL

Another Dustin Pike freebie...

I think this would make a great card for a baby, or a young'un of any age really. This is another one of the cards that I submitted for Dustin's DT call. Still keeping my fingers crossed for that....making it hard to do anything else though...bwahahahahahahahaha, with my fingers being crossed all the time!!! Very simple card really, Basic layout and colored the image using my color pencil technique. Have I mentioned how much I love to color...bwahahahahahaha. Its really become an obsession. I print out images during the day and color them at night while I'm watching TV, well, attempting to watch TV. The TV never gets turned on during the day around here, but after supper we all converge onto the couch and watch some of the old boob tube.Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net Yeah, even Booboo gets in on the act. Here's a pic of Booboo and I watching Jeopardy...LOL See the orange and brown blanket, thats Booboo's, he cant get on the couch unless its laid out for him. He's about 60 lbs lap love. He has a hard time getting on the couch now, he's 11 yrs old and a little overweight.... Jeff says its my biscuits and gravy thats making him that way. Yes, Booboo gets a biscuit before the rest of us do....bwahahahahahahaha. Jeff usually goes to bed before I do and Booboo has to get in the bed too (he doesnt stay long), but Booboo puts his front paws on the bed and Jeff picks up the rear....its a funny sight to behold. LOL Jeff and I play against each other for money while watching Jeopardy. I can pretty much hold my own..... see the concentration I have on my face...bwahahahahahaha Enough ratchet jawing for today.... hope you have a pleasant and relaxed day. Until later Cuties...Gotta split..TFLFree Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

Any color you wish really, just make the card with variations of that color and a neutral can be added too. Let me introduce you to 'Pajama time Emma'Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net. Isnt she the cutest thang. I really couldn't see her in anything but pink. The wording is from a set that I got a while back and it has sayings for babies and children. Perfect for this card. Looks like she sneaked out of bed to ask you to read her a bedtime story. How could you not want to tell her one about princesses, unicorns, sugarplums, ok, I'm getting carried away again.....bwahahahahahahaha. Be sure to make a card using some of the whimsy stamps and click on the link to enter your card for the freebies. You may just be the next big winner. Be sure to check out the other DT's stuff while you're there. Its a very talented bunch of ladies that I have the opportunity to be associated with.Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net Until later sweetpeas.....Gotta split.....TFL

Sweet card for a sweet man......

This is for you my sweetheart... I made this card for Jeff, he is currently in Texas at the moment working. He will be gone about 3 weeks before we (Harlee and I) get to see him. Believe it or not he has started to read my blog. Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net Maybe he's afraid I will talk bad about him or something....bwahahahahahaha. I would never do that, I'm a true believer in 'Karma'; what you put out into the world, you get back 3-fold. So, I try to be nice and sweet most of the time, Jeff may beg to differ on that one on occasion.....bwahahahaha. But I guess we all have our days, right? These Hanna images are too much fun to play with. This particular stamp is called Dress-Up Hanna, she has several outfits to pick from in the set also. If ya want one, go here and see what else Hanna Stamps has to offer. Until later, sweet daisies......Gotta splitFree Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net........TFL

PINK...its the new black

Don't I know it.... I wear a lot of black. Not really sure why, I guess because it goes with everything. Pink is my new flavor at the moment too. I don't wear prints ever, bwahahahahahahaha. A good solid color, it can have ruffles, lace, buttons, doesn't matter as long as its a solid color. I think its more of a classy look than a big 'ol print, or even a little 'ol print...LOL This card was made for a Whimsy Stamps color challenge on SNR (Scrapbook News and Review- The Card Universe). The challenge has ended, but there will be another one, so be on the lookout. The color choice was any pink, any green and a neutral. I couldnt resist making the Whimsy skunk pink, she looks kinda cute, she make an excellent girlfriend for Pepe Le Pew. Don't ya think he would go gaga over her. I also think she needs a bow tied on her tail, I may add that later. Question: Do you ever make changes to cards? I mean even days after. I do all the time, I might add a bow, ribbon, brad, something. I can never leave well enough alone, bwahahahahahaha. Until later kats.......gotta split.....TFL

Happy Birthday Harlee....

I'm early for this card, but this is actually another one that was sent to Dustin Pike for his viewing. This image is just the cutest. Its a digi that I won off of the Bee Crafty blog. You need to buzzzzzz on by there to check out the digi's that she has to offer, the cutest. Harlee will be turning 10 (going on 20) on the 10th of May, bwahahahahahaha. I'm thinking about using this image for her invitations as well, you will have to wait and see for yourself if I actually do.
Harlee is a little jokester just like me. Her dad has been sorta crippled up(<--his words) the last few days from gout. He has been hobbling around the house, so Harlee was passing him going thru the kitchen and when she got around him she started doing a slo-mo routine and saying "oohhhh nooooo, Daddddddyyyyy issss goingggg tooooo cattchhhh meeeee" (<--my version of slo-mo talking) bwahahahahaha. He started laughing so hard, for a minute he forgot that he was hurting. After I stopped rolling on the floor myself, I said "now Harlee, don't be so mean to daddy. He can't help he's old" Well you can guess we all started laughing again. Believe me he gets his jabs in too! Ok, the deets on my card are pretty basic; printed image, colored it, layered it, a few punches, a few brads, Bada Bing Bada Boommmm, finished card.
A side note: I'm playing around with a signature until I can find one that strikes my fancy...not trying to comfuse anyone. Until later chics....gotta split....TFL

It's not 'JOUST' another day !

Bwahahahahahaha... don't ya love that title... As you can see, that is the sentiment that I put on this card. I left the inside blank, that way any occasion can be "not 'JOUST' another day". This is one of the cards that I submitted to Dustin Pike for his "approval" of sorts...teehee. Keeping my fingers crossed, I so want to be on his DT. This was a freebie image on his blog. He has a freebie every Wednesday...oh yeah...yesterday was Wednesday. So, jump on your trusty steed and go snag you a freebie, if you havent already, I got mine! Bwahahahahahaha. I dont like repeating my self, but there may be a newbie to visit me and they just might want to know how this card was created.
So, here goes.
This is a digital image from Dustin Pike, I printed it out on white card stock, something that has some "tooth" to it. "Tooth" means a little roughness, not slick. I colored it using Koh-I-Nor color pencils, OMS(odorless mineral spirits) and blended with a stump. I, on occasion, will still use my watercolor pencils, but for me the color pencils have a more vibrant look. Then I cut the image out and used dimensionals for a more 3-D look. Added some eyelets and ribbon. Layered it all on an A2 (4-1/4"X5-1/2") size card base. Easy peasy, mac and cheesy!!!!
I have created a pictorial on how I color using the pencils
here. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, I will help you if I can!!! Or if you just want to know more about me...bwahahahahaha. Until later damsels......Gotta split....TFL !

Rockin' it like a ROCKSTAR!!!

I think everyone that comes by my blog is a rockstar. Most of you have your own blogs and create such wonderful pieces of art, I say ART because thats exactly what it is..... It takes a lot of talent to color the images, find the right paper, add the accessories, etc... So, I want everyone to take their right hand and reach around and give themselves a huge pat on the back, bwahahahahaha. Believe me, if I was around I would do it for you. But since I can't this is the next best thing. I love you guys!!!
Ok now to the nitty gritty.... I wanted to showcase my coloring so I made this card to send to Dustin Pike (along with several others) for trying out for his DT. BTW: the DT call is still open if you would like to submit some stuff too! I love his drawings. The possibilities are endless for the images that he creates. This image I found in a coloring book, though. The other cards I made will appear at some time or another on my blog which feature some freebies that he offered on his blog here. You need to check him out...super cute and fun to color images. The rock star stamp I used is from Stampin' Up!, it is a hostess set called A Little Somethin', and I love it. Well, thats all for now, until later...Gotta split...Keep Rockin' like ur a rockstar......TFL

You Party animal.....you!!!

Hey, hey, lets Par-tey...... there is still a great challenge going on at the Whimsy Stamps Challenge Blog, and you get the chance to win 2, yep, 2 stamps of your choice from the animal collection. The moose (party hat not included) above is just one of their adorable images. The reason he is donning his par-tey hat is because it is an occasion challenge, any occasion at all; but you have to use one of Whimsy Stamps images to be eligible, sorry them's tha rules!! I chose birthday for this card. You can never have enough b'day cards. The sentiment on the inside reads, "You PARTY animal, you!" Isn't he the cutest thing, I guess I call it a 'he' because, after all, he is surrounded by the color blue. How cute would this image be surrounded in pink, orange, green or you could go the natural route and put him in his natural environment. Either way he looks totally happy to me, can't ya see him smiling...bwahahahahaha. So jump on over there and join in the fun, you never know you may be the next big winner. Until later dudettes.....Gotta split....TFL

Welcome to the ribbon cutting ceremony!

That's right...today is the grand opening of a new online store. Its called Modern Sugar Blvd. Run, don't walk to the nearest exit and check out all the great stuff they have to offer. The card and 3-D frame above are just a little snippet of some of the digital images they have in stock. Aren't they the cutest images ever. You could change them up in so many ways. Its my understanding that they are going to have specials all week, but it will be different specials; so you wont want to miss any of it. The group of designers that have been chosen (including me...giggle) are a very talented bunch of gals....we will be known as the "Sugars" isn't that the sweetest...bwahahahaha, sweetest, get it. I know, I tickle myself sometimes. Ok, a little about the designs above, the "cake gal" was put on a frame that I covered first with some dsp and I made the yoyos 'cause that image to me just screamed retro. The card with the "blog gal" doesnt have a chair included with the image (I made it outta cs), so you can set her on anything and make her just too adorable. Its a computer generated sentiment. I couldnt help myself....too funny huh???? Bwahahahahahahaha. After all what would we all do without our computers right? We are going to have a blast showing all the new stuff and new releases as they happen. So, jump on over and see for yourself and I will see you there!!!! Until later...gotta split...TFL

Sneaky peekies.......

I have been chosen for a new design team for a brand spankin' new online store called "Modern Sugar Blvd." I can only give you sneak peeks of the creations I made using a couple of the new images. I love keeping a secret, bwahahahaha. There's a whole lot more than meets the eye with this company. The ribbon cutting will be this Monday, thats right, tomorrow at noon mountain time!!!! Be sure to check it out and also come back here to see the whole enchilada of my stuff. The design team will be affectionately called the "Sugars"...Lovin' it!!! Since my grands call me "Sugar" it was only destiny that I would be a Modern Sugar "Sugar", dont ya think???? bwahahahahaha. So go ahead and take a gander at all the goodies the new shop has to offer..... you gals are gonna love it too!!!!!

Chicken dance....

...remember that silly dance.... I do, do they still do that dance..??.. I remember it was always being played at weddings. Now they play the cha-cha slide or the electric slide.... and of course, guess who is the first to get up on the dance floor. That is if I'm not already out there dancing the night away, or day; which ever the case...bwahahahahahaha. Ok, enough about my dancing feet....
The card deets: pretty basic card really, tan card stock, several dsp's, and a stamp that I got from the $ bin at Mikey's. I love chickens, almost as much as I love to dance. Chickens and dance....hahahahahaha. I used to have approx. 60 chickens, (Rhodies) Rhode Island reds... I would go out to the coop and watch the chickens interact with each other... I digress...
This is a 5" X 5" card. I normally dont make ones this size. I like to make the normal A2 cards, you can find envelopes to fit them and it doesnt cost extra postage. Well, that is if you dont have a bunch of embellies on the card which makes it super thick.
Harlee's team won last night and team pics were taken and yes you will see me in my coach's jersey as soon as we get them back, if you ask nicely....bwahahahahaha. Ok, I will post them on here for you all to see!!! Until later....gotta split.... TFL

Laugh out loud...

...and the world laughs with you!!! I hope I said that right...bwahahahahahaha.

Doesn't this card just make you happy.... it was for another challenge...can you tell I love a good challenge. This one was a sketch challenge on Truly Scruptious blog. This card really reflects my outlook on life. I usually have a great time no matter where I am. I'm always smiling and laughing. Life couldnt be any better. I'm a true believer in 'karma', what you put out in this world you get back 3 fold. I've recently been chosen for 2 separate DT's, and I get to make stuff everyday...Thanks to Jeff (my sweetheart)!!!! He just asks me if it makes me happy, then do it!!! Well, I'm doing what make me happy....can ya see me smiling??? Not a very long post today...have softball pictures and a game later this afternoon. Go Bandits...!!! Wish us luck!!!! (Harlee in her uniform, you might get to see me in my coach's shirt if you're lucky....bwahahahahahaha) Until later chickies...gotta split...TFL

Not just any wishes...

...but you get Best Wishes!!! If you read my blog on a sorta regular basis, you know I dont normally do cutesy, wishy-washy, romantic, sweet, (you get my point) cards. I prefer to keep them funny, or at least they are funny to me....bwahahahahaha! This is actually my re-do from the mistake I made yesterday (look at post below). Yep, this is the image that I was supposed to use. I will look at my image and see what shape I think the design will look best in, and then I go from there. So, instead of the oval I used yesterday, the REAL image looked better to me in a tag shape. I think it turned out OK.... This is a digi from a new online store called Digi Shack.... they have some great looking stuff and some pretty funny images too.

I have to tell you a story. I usually show Jeff my cards when I finish them.... he will "glance" at them and I do mean "glance" and say something along the lines of , "neat", "cute", "great", "looks good", etc.... You know the usual responses.... Well yesterday when he looked at my card posted below, he looked at it and responded with one of his normal responses, and then I left the room and when I returned he looked at me and said, "whats with the buttons?" I said "what are you talking about?" I completely forgot that our last conversation involved the card.... I started looking at my shirt and realized I was wearing a sweatshirt....no buttons!!! He looked at me and said, "on the card", bwahahahahaha.... "Its just extra decoration" I said. He raised his eyebrows at me and said "OK".... You see what kind of critique I get here... but I still wouldn't trade him for a plug nickel. Jeff if you are really reading this, {waving} HI!!!! Until later....gotta split....TFL

A little Q & A session...

Ok ladies, my studio is currently overflowing with my cards and other creations, even after giving away alot .... I'm thinking about selling them either on here or Etsy. Do any of you sell your stuff ??? I mean, after all the money that we spend on the supplies, what would it hurt to get a little coming in right.... then, its just more play money to buy MORE supplies...bwahahahahaha. I have hundreds, literally hundreds of cards now. Any input (place, pricing, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.... Gotta split....gather my cards up and see what I can do with 'em. TFL

Call me...

ANYTIME!!! Really, you can call me anytime you want..... I don't talk on the phone too much, but I will talk for a little while. Remember these oldie rotary phones. Boy, I do!! When I was a teenager, we only had one phone in the house and it was in the living room..."imagine this".... {dreamy music interlude} the phone rings and its your boyfriend. So who ever answered the phone has announced it to everyone within earshot and possibly a few neighbors. Bwahahahahaha!!! You get to the phone, after several people have picked on you for having a bf; and you know he has heard everything on the other end 'cause there was no such thing as a mute button back then. You are so flustered by the time you get there that you can't even talk, and if you said anything anyway....everyone is sitting there listening to you while they pretend to watch TV. So, needless to say the conversation is short and sometimes sweet. You held to that lifeline between you and your sweetheart even for that brief few minutes..... Ahhhh, to be young again!!!! Ok, card deets: This was actually for a challenge on a new site called Digi Shack, but I messed up, the actual challenge was to use their sketch AND the free digi image. Well, I made the sketch, but I forgot completely about the digi image...HA. Oh well, back to the drawing board.... no complaints from me really, just another excuse to make another card...bwahahahahaha. So, run on over to Digi Shack and download the freebie and get started. Yeah go ahead, I'm finished; for now...HA Until later...gotta split and do another card....TFL

"How about....

...some 'peeking' duck?" That's the sentiment that I came up with...Ha!! Get it...he's 'peeking' out from behind the cattails.... I kill me!!!! Bwahahahahahaha. I made this for the challenge at Stamp Something blog. I just had to have this image, its from Whimsy Stamps. I (as most of us) don't make nearly enough 'manly' cards. He just screams, or should I say "quacks" manly...bwahahahahaha!! He would also be just as gorgeous made into a girly card if ya wanted. Anyhoo, back to the deets...the challenge was to use shapes, any shapes and many shapes on your card. I used my cutting system from Creative Memories to get the oval/diamond shape. The large cattails I cut by hand just using my scissors, some dsp, brown card stock, a little ribbon and that's pretty much it. Pretty basic, oh, did you see the target design on the ribbon....get it 'target' ...LOL.
Ok. I'll stop now....but I have more great news to share!!! I'm 'uber excited, I was chosen for another design team. Can I get "whoop whoop"! Its a new online stamp store, called "Modern Sugar Blvd." The store officially opens the 20th of this month, so be on the lookout for new stuff from them and my new designs using their images....I can't wait to get started!!! Until later...gotta split....TFL
