Introducing "Count Vamp'OWL'

Haunted Design House blog challenge for this week is Mark of the beast.....6 of anything.......
Can you see my six things?????

It's a little tricky.......
The mark of the beast that kept coming to mind was from a vampire bite......  does my owl look
vampire-y????  On second thought I should have added a bite somewhere on the card....but then again maybe not....hmmmmmm.
The owl is from a SU! punch....isnt he cute, but I had to make him look a little scary.  So, I made him into a creature of the night times 2...Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
His cape was made using the Blossom petal punch and the top of the cape is made using 2 punches of his vest.  The tree limb was a cut from the Picturesque cricut cart.  A little dark distressing and you have a pretty cute Count Vamp'owl'...... say that three times fast....!!!!

Check out the sentiment I created for the inside.....
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

[Oh, I almost forgot to tell you my 6 things....but you've probably already found them....
he has 6 toes and the limb has 6 points.]

I have to tell you a funny story about an owl...
My daddy was hunting one late afternoon in the woods behind our house.  He had a few rabbits boxes to check and he took his rifle with him to see if he could get a squirrel or two.  Yes, we ate squirrels and rabbits....LOL  ANywhooooo, he walking thru the woods being very careful and quiet when out of the corner of his eye he saw something large swooping down on him.  His 'knee-jerk' reaction was to swing his rifle around and hit it.  (It was already too close to get a good shot at it)  He swung and it fell to the ground.  He went over to see what was trying to attack him, and there it was, this huge owl laying on the ground.  He picked it up and decided to bring it home. He told Mama to load us up in the car and we were taking the owl to my oldest brother.  My brother would love to have this in his taxidermy collection.  Now my brother lived about 40 mins away.  Daddy had put the 'dead owl' in a box with a towel laying across it in the back seat floorboard.  Guess who was sitting in the backseat.......yep me and my little brother. About 30 mins into the trip the owl didn't want to be dead anymore.  It started shuffling in the box a few times.  My first instinct was to move to the other side of the car.  Daddy hollers to hold down the towel. I'm screaming, my little brother is screaming, mama leans over the seat and grabs the towel and holds it down until we get to my brothers house.  We jump out of the car fast.  Daddy removed the box, still with the towel laying across the top and he reaches his hand into the box and grabs it by the feet and holds it upside down.  It seemed to die again.  My brother and Daddy are looking at it and talking about the adventure thus far.........when all of a sudden the bird gets a final burst of life. It started flapping his huge wings and Daddy is struggling to hold on to it.  In the commotion it worked one of its feet loose and clamps his talons through my daddy's arm. Yes, I said through. My brother ran into the house to get his pistol to shoot it in the head.  Again the kids start to scream and cry. After the men unsuccessfully tried to pull the talons out. Some pliers are used and the claw is finally removed without too much damage to the talons.  Can't say that for my daddy's arm though. Mama told him he needed to go to a hospital and daddy said no, {squeezed his fingers together and made a fist to prove no major damage was done}.  He told her to get some mercurochrome and pour on it..... she did, he winced with pain and wrapped it in gauze.
The owl is still in my brother's collection to this day.
This happened over 40 years ago.

Pic of talon.....scary huh????  So I guess you can say my daddy got the "mark of the beast".....

Until later, my little nibbles......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!

Awesome card! LOVE the Vampire Owl and the matching sentiment.
Great story, but I was rooting for the owl to fly away safely, even though Iloves me some taxidermy.

You took a road trip with a zombie owl when you were young and impressionable? LOL, that explains a LOT! :P Fab card again Crystal :D
