another craft idea ahead!!!!!
No, I didn't mispell any words!!! This idea came from my hubs actually. I was going to make him a t-shirt for Valentine's Day and the idea I had he really didn't like. I was going to use the card decals cart. and make him one of the characters that I used on my car vinyl project here and then add "ROOD CREW" underneath them. He thought it was too sissy to wear those funny characters, so he came up with this one. He works in the health and safety field and is on constructon jobs all the time.....so this one is manly enough for him to wear......bwahahahahahahaha!!!!
Since our last name is ROOD (pronounced like rude) yes I know.
Most people don't want to say our last name....they think they are being rude......LOL
But its a very noble name; "ROOD" means crucifix (catholic), or a measure of land {1/4 acre} or the center point of a cross sectioned road (like the center of a 4-way stop) or a rudimentary meaning for "red head". Since most surnames came from the profession, geographical area, how they looked, or town that our ancestors lived/or worked. Well, I know his family isn't catholic so I believe that my hubs ancestors either lived near or at a cross section of road or they were red heads at one time {my hubs was never a red head}.
Heck, they could have been the red-headed family that lived on a quarter acre of land near the cross roads. Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
Wow, you didn't know this was going to become a 'his'-tory lesson did you????
Back to crafty reality now........
I know he is going to get a lot of looks from people wandering why its been mispelled, well the people that don't know our last name. But he loves it and thats all that matters!!!
I used many carts to create this little masterpiece; using my gypsy to merge, weld, and contour some things to make it work. I used heat transfer vinyl that I purchased online. It soooo simple to use. The only thing is when cutting you have to flip your images vertically so if you use wording then it isnt backwards when you iron it on. But then again maybe you want it backwards....your call!!!!!! I will be doing a video tutorial soon of how to do the iron on vinyl and hopefully answer any questions that you may have. But in the mean time you can contact me and I'll answer them asap!!!!!!
Until later, my crew-pys.......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!!

i haven't done any vinyl, freezer paper or anything similar yet :( i know ii is awful to think about it :P
I LOVE it!!! Very creative and of course, fitting! I'm sure your hubby is proud to wear it! :)
and I'm sure all his guy friends are getting a kick out of it too. :)
The girls will get good use out of this option! They have been making their own t-shirts for some time for special events like the newest Harry Potter movie...They use the vinyl cutter at the shop to cut a stencil and then use t-shirt paint from the craft store...this will be much faster!!! Can't wait to show them your work.
Very professional looking. Can't wait for the tutorial x
