About Me

My photo
I would classify myself as an artist. It took me a while to finally accept that monicker, but that's what I am; AN ARTIST!!! I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Come on by and sit a spell and "STAMP 'TIL YA CRAMP!!! & "CROP 'TIL YA DROP!!!"

My hats off to ya!!!!

To all my fellow bloggers and my blogging followers.... thats a mouth full ain't it!!!!
I have had this image sitting on my desk for a while now, it has been colored and just sitting there like I took right off my head. It another one of those coloring page freebies....gotta love it!!!
Question: What is the most unusual thing that you have used on a creation of yours????
On the card above I used something that I found in my linen closet. Can you guess what it is??? OK, I'll tell ya...bwahahahahahahaha I know the suspense is killin' ya. The corrugated paper is from a light bulb package. Yep, I was getting ready to throw it away when I had a 'light bulb' moment....bwahahahahahahaha!!!! You will never look at anything the same will ya....LOL
So, my hats off to all you frugal crafters and fellow visonaries such as myself....and can vision things "out of the box"
When people tell me that I always say "What box?"
Until later, Cowpokes............Gotta split.......TFL !

Crystal!! This hat and card is just cowboy perfect. Omword, what a great coloring job, and that cardboard is absolutely wonderful for the rustic feel. I was a little nervous when you said you went into your closet. lol!
The craziest thing I ever used was a soda tab - it makes a quirky buckle for ribbon. :D
btw, I love that Jeff told you to get to your chores in your chat bar. LMBO!!! Happy Friday Sugar!

I love it. i look at everything - and i mean everything. i'll find stuff on the street and think, "i can use that on a card". i'm such a "garbage picker".

a friend was by yesterday and was looking at my album of "hand-made cards from friends" and she just loved all your cards. she homed right in on them and said "this lady is defintely an artist. her work is gorgeous". so there ya go. you'll be famous one day.

hugs,

Love this card! You know me, Love cowboys, even hats! Great job coloring and I love this layout!

Hubby teases me saying if it isn't nailed down, Denise may glue it to a card! LOL I've used bread wrappers twisties, the inside of bill envelopes, magazine pages, brown grocery bags, twigs, kool aid....hmmmm....trying to remember!

Girl, I wish I had your eye for shading. What's your secret? Do you just see a picture and know how it should be shaded to look real? Come on...spill the beans!

Great card ..amazing how you have the ability to make things come to life with the shading you do. Great inspiration to keep me working on improving my coloring.

The craziest thing I used was a gum stick wrapper - I needed the inside foil lol.

Fantastic card. My most unusual thing which probably isn't all that unusual is used dryer sheets sprayed with glimmer mists then I used it on Mermaid cards. It was perfect.

Cute card, great coloring, and the perfect greeting to go with it! I once joined a swap on a rubberstamping group I was in where we had to use um - a feminine product - and it is still the most unusual thing I've ever used on a card.
