About Me

My photo
I would classify myself as an artist. It took me a while to finally accept that monicker, but that's what I am; AN ARTIST!!! I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Come on by and sit a spell and "STAMP 'TIL YA CRAMP!!! & "CROP 'TIL YA DROP!!!"

Flower power....

Can't you just smell how sweet this skunk smells..... bwahahahahahahaha... Well, we can all imagine it right, after all she is pink... This card was made for the new Whimsy Stamps Challenge blog....and the name of the game (challenge) is to add flowers. Lots of flowers, little flowers, big flowers, any flowers on your creation. You know the rules already to be entered for the freebies, you have to use a Whimsy stamp, only fair right??? ***EDITED TO ADD:*** There's a change on the rules a bit...but its a great change...You can now use any image you have(but still follow the general theme) and you will be entered once, but if you use a Whimsy stamp then you will be entered twice...see change is GOOD!!!
Pretty basic card layout, used my five petal flower punch twice to make the flower and the leaves were done with a sizzix die.
Some ribbon and a tag was made using a computer generated saying... Hope you all join us as it is too much fun!!!!!

Funny story: Wow, did ya think I would leave you without a funny story to tell..... My mom was a little unorthodox in most things in her life, meaning she danced to the music in her own head, moved to the beat of her own drum, listened to the voices in her head....ok enough with the analogies....LOL
She was a very special woman, and you guys wonder where I get it from...HA!!!
Well, she had an albino skunk as a pet, it was after I had already gotten married and out of the house. She used to harness that thing up and walk it around the neighborhood. It was the funniest site. One day a dog scared it and it shot out of that harness like it was a greased pig and it has never been seen again....I would have loved to have seen the face of the next hunter that may have ran across the skunk in the woods... He must have thought it was a ghost from his 'hunting past'... bwahahahahahaha!!!
Until later, pinkies....Gotta split....TFL!!!!!!

PS......the post below shows the winner of the blog candy!!!!!

That image is adorable and I love it being colored in pink! Perfect! Love your skunk story too! I had a friend with a pet skunk. It was fixed somehow where it couldn't spray. Anyway, it was the cutest, sweetest little thing, kitty litter trained and all!

Such a cute card, and I love your sentiment! I feel bad that your mom lost her pet skunk, and that poor little guy probably didn't know how to take care of himself in the wild!
The dog we had before Riley got skunked good one time and we now know the proper way to take care of that....it's NOT tomato juice!

I'd rather NOT imagine how the skunks smells...pewwww. But if he were pink, the I imagine he'd smell like carnations...lol

You always do such a great job of coloring...you're a real inspiration! Fantastic creation today!
