About Me

I would classify myself as an artist. It took me a while to finally accept that monicker, but that's what I am; AN ARTIST!!! I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Come on by and sit a spell and "STAMP 'TIL YA CRAMP!!! & "CROP 'TIL YA DROP!!!"

'Eye' sure see things differently......

and beauty is in the 'eye' of the beholder....RIGHT????
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

I think this one is a beaut.

Another Haunted Design House challenge has been spotted
 and I'm partaking all the sights.

After a quick search I found this wonderful digi online.
It needed something; so after coloring it with color pencil,
OMS and a stump.
 I added the googly eyes, with red card stock circle punches and a flower punch behind the green one to resemble a blood splat.
I hand cut the blood droplet and added a few dits and dots with a white gel pen.
Also hand cut the red frame so it would look more like blood.
Added some real gauze as a ribbon accent.
The sentiment was computer generated and punched with the word window punch and I created a flag and folded it so the center would remain raised.

This is the inside of the card.

Let's take a vote..... do you think I accomplished the task???

I think the 'eyes' have it!!!!!!

Until later, seers.......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!!

Let's IRON out a few issues......

There are only a few household chores that I dread..... vaccuming and ironing.
With that said, I love being a SAHM.
My hubs loves that I do a great job keeping the household running smoothly.....
and CLEAN!!!
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Don't ya love this.....I do!!!
This has to be my expression on my face when I feel the dread of any
impending ironing looming over my head....
not sure what she's thinking but I'm probably thinking that very thought myself.
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

I going to hang this in my laundry room and maybe it'll give me a *giggle*
when I have actual ironing to do.

Deets:

First I went looking in my studio for something of a household nature to use as the base.
I found a balsa wood ironing board....perfect.
I then, covered it with some thin batting and then this gorgeous black gingham.
I added some cotton cord on the back for a hanger and then added the peachy/pink
card stock to the backside to cover up the fabric ends.
I found this peachy/pink floral fabric and cut a small rectangle and used and adhered it to the top of the ironing board at an angle and gathered a little.
I used a piece of metal from a soda can and made a makeshift iron using a paper piercer and a stylus to emboss the edges a bit.
Then stamped the lady's face stamp onto the same peachy/pink card stock using black ink and blushed up her cheeks with some chalk. I used a white gel pen to highlight her eye a wee bit also.
Stamped the sentiment and used coordinating oval punches.

Supply List w/ links:

The stamps can be purchased here......

The rest of the items were in my stash of 'schtufffff ' as my hubs so lovingly call it.
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Until later, jokesters.......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!!!!

Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Did ye get me wee joke thar...???

Haunted Design House themed challenge this week is "Pirate's Booty"

Me thinks that tis one will make for a fine booty.
I first pillaged my scrap crate for some black, red and white card stock.
I used Indie Art cricut cart. for the cross and the skull & crossbones.
MS cracked page punch on the cross and the top of the skull....
and added a little ink distressing.
'Cracked' embossing folder was used for the texture on
 the skull & crossbones.
some simple layering and Shiver me timbers ...it be shipshape!!!!!

Until later, Scallywags.......Gotta sail split......TFL!!!!!

ring a ding a ling.....

...and it's not Avon calling !!!!!

I created this one for the challenge at Haunted Design House.
This weeks challenge is HOMAGE TO HITCHCOCK.
Who doesn't know at least one A.H. movie.
Soooo many classics!!!!
Can you guess which movie this one is based on????

Super easy, right???
Yep....it's "Dial "M" for Murder".

I found these digi's online;
 the 50's man on the phone and the rotary phone dial.

I changed out the "6" dial and added the word "MURDER" and hand cut
a red M out of red card stock....then added a few dimensionals on the back.
 I also used dimensionals on the dial itself and placed it on top of the man image.
 I used some black and silver embossing powder to create the grainy paper effect.
I sprinkled it onto the card stock and heated from the underside of the paper so the
heat gun wouldn't blow it away. I also embossed the finger stop on the dial.
Using some seam binding I created a faux telephone cord noose.
Adhered it to a metallic black card base.

~~~~~RRrrrrrriiiinnnnnnggggg~~~~~
I wouldn't answer that if I were you!!!!!
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
Until later,  operators.......Gotta split.......TFL!!!!
Let's make a deal....
My mom was a game show junkie.
 She didn't watch soaps, but she watched every, and I mean every,
 game show out there when I was growing up.
I'm telling my age a bit, but I remember watching "Let's make a Deal" with
Monty Hall.  As a kid I loved watching that one because of all the
crazy costumes people wore.
The best part was watching people trade off what they had already won for what was behind the infamous doors 1, 2 or 3.
Sometimes their trading didn't turn out as expected.....but it was very fun to watch.
As soon as I saw this sentiment (#3906) I thought of those fond memories.....
my mom yelling at the T.V. telling the contestants what they should do....
her stopping her household chores long enough to watch the show....
All the while wishing she was one of those contestants.
If my mom was around today I would send her this card
 as a reminder of the fun times we had watching those silly shows.
More details about this card:
Danger sentiment #6172 (stamped onto the DSP)
Card base is baby blue with a black mat and DSP (w/houses)
I hand cut the cloud and added glitter around the edges.
I adhered it all together using Miracle Tape.
I pop dotted the woman and the cloud.
This is my first post as a new member of the new
 Design Team of Viva Las Vegastamps!
They have stamps to please any stampers taste buds.
Stop by there and give them a look-see!!!
I've included all the links so you don't have to do a mad search for anything that I have used on this project. Just click on the link and don't forget to peruse around.....!!!
Bee-gone!!!!
DCWV has a challenge for this month (April).....
a scrapbook page layout
 and a card sketch.
Here's the ones that I did for the challenge.
 One of the major stipulations is that you have to use their products....no problems
since I {heart} DCWV paper stacks. I have lots to choose from.
I took this pic of our fur-baby Looloo while we were outside walking around.
This is my hubs (her daddy's) barn that he stores all of his yard equipment in.
I think she was waiting on him to show up and start work, but he wasn't in town that day....
she loves hanging out with him in the yard.
Poor Looloo.
She was just laying there minding her own business when this bumble bee started buzzing by and wouldn't leave.  I quickly went inside to grab my camera.
 Luckily the bee was still buzzing by.
Much to Looloo's dismay.....bwahahahahahahahaha!!!
Ok...now the deets to what I used.
Textures and Finishes paper stack
Garden Party paper stack
A few punches, a button, ATG gun and a sticker bee that I had in my stash.
Now to the card.....
Garden Party paper stack, punches and some ribbon......simple!!!!
Fly on over and join in the fun......
Nothing would make me happier!!!!!!!!
Until later, bees knees........Gotta fly split......TFL!!!!
