About Me

My photo
I would classify myself as an artist. It took me a while to finally accept that monicker, but that's what I am; AN ARTIST!!! I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Come on by and sit a spell and "STAMP 'TIL YA CRAMP!!! & "CROP 'TIL YA DROP!!!"

Here an herb, there an herb, everywhere an herb, herb.....

My sage and basil are growing like crazy..... I've already had to dry one batch.  This second batch is even better.  I use it fresh as well..... I just can't use it up fast enough. But drying it helps, it shrinks up a LOT!!!!
I grew it in pots so I can bring it in this winter and have fresh herbs all winter long.  I tried to grow cilantro and oregano and both of those just didn't do well at all.

They may get tired of every dish I cook having these herbs in them.

But, I have a saying around here.....

"You git what you git...so don't have a fit"

Until later, herbettes........Gotta split......TFL!!!!!

What a mess!!!!

Boy, it's going to be a real surprise when his wife gets a load of that mess....... especially the one on his lab coat!!!!

R.L.D.G.

Our new "drankin" stemware........

I've seen them called by different name......Redneck Wine Glass, Redneck Drinking glass.....etc.....

I made these for my Great-nephew and his new bride as part of their wedding presents.  I also made them a glass etched tray and a photo album to add pics too  later.

Super simple to make.  I have seen them in specialty shops and online for a premium price up to $14.95 each.  Ouch......if you paid that much how can you afford to fill it up with any liabtion.......Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!

I found some cheap-y glass candle holders and already had some E6000 epoxy and said to myself......."Self, you can make these for under $2 a piece."  So I did!!!!!

Here's the label I made.....   the care instructions was easy...... being from the south, I have relatives that talk just like that.

I will be making more of these......too fun!!!!

Until later, funnelers drinkers..........Gotta drink split........TFL!!!!!!!

Love birds are going to be sharing a nest after today......

My great-nephew is getting married today to a very sweet girl.  They have been together for the last few years and today is the day to make it official. The wedding is being held at my sister's house....{its her grandson that is getting married}.  We always have so much fun when we all get together, no matter what the occasion.
I will be taking some pics to share later.
They are such a fun couple, they are getting the Varsity to cater the event.   If you are from the south you know what we are anxiously anticipating.......
Whatta'll ya have, Whatta'll ya have, Whatta'll ya have!!!!

Card deets:
Kraft cardstock and black cardstock
Dotted shimmery DSP
SU! bird punch and heart punch and ovals as well.
Clear stamp set for the sentiment
Corners embossing folder (on the birds)
Heat embossed the heart with the SU! set called Punch Potpourri and black embossing powder.
SU! scallop eyelet border punch and
some dimensionals to give it a little sumpin' sumpin'!!!

So, I guess I better go get ready myself.

Until later, birdies.........Gotta fly split........TFL!!!!!!

Trudy's in the house......

Isn't she lovely.......  I love the look of this digi; her name is Trudy.  It reminds me of the older advertisement of the 50's and 60's.......ooooppsss.  I guess I'm telling my age a bit.  I remember dressing up like this as a little girl. The mary jane shoes, the pretty dresses, the socks, etc.......

This was a freebie for a contest on FB.  You can buy this one (I think) from
Mo's Digital Pencil.  Not sure if its in the shop yet, but take a look at her other images.....they are fabulous!!!!

I colored Trudy with colored pencils and blended with OMS (Odorless mineral spirits) and a paper stump.  I stamped the floral image along the border of the dress.  I also used Bic markers to make the shadow under her feet.  The scalloped border is from Stampin' up. The flowers are punched from a SU! punch as well, its called boho blossoms.  I haven't colored in a while and I was really enjoying myself.

Until later, party girls........Gotta split......TFL!!!!!!!

Working @ the car wash......wwwwOOoOoOooooOOo

Here's Harlee and Jeff washing my car..... LOL
Now why would I wash my car myself when I have two willing participants that will do it for me.

Yes, Jeff says I take pics of the silliest things. We ALL take pics of special events, trips, etc....
I think that we need pics of those more than the special stuff. After all, we so spend more time doing those that at special events; right????

Below is a cut I hand-made with scissors and using the Creative Memories bubble punch.  Now that I have a Cricut my punches have been a little neglected......and I couldn't find a sponge cut on any cart, that I have. The sponge has two layers and the top layer was added with dimensionals. The bucket was hand cut also using an Stampin' Up! oval punch for the curves.  The 'water' is actually a flourish from Cindy Loo cart. I believe........  oh I can't remember now. But any flourish will do to make a 'splash' of water.  I inked all of the cuts for more dimension.

This is the same flourish that I elongated using my Gypsy to give it a little different look.  I also used a silver metallic cardstock to give the water a little sumpin' sumpin'....and the color matches my car. More inking and it looks like a splash of water.

Behind the pic framed you will see a MS border punch peeking out.  I had to add more color since the blue bucket was in the pic and it was so distracting w/o the added color.

Until later, dewdrops........Gotta split.........TFL!!!!!
