Alone in the dark.......

Darkness falls and you sense a presence.  You try to turn on your flashlight, but its no use. You shake it for one last attempt at some salvation of light.  You wield it like a weapon, just in case.  The creature is getting closer....the sound is getting stronger. You feel the light breeze as it brushes near you. You know this creature has a thirst like no other. You want to scream but you can't.  You raise the flashlight in hopes of getting the first blow. Oh no, its too late.......{smack}.

 "OUCHHHHH!!!  Damn mosquito !!!!!"

This dark little beauty was created for Haunted Design House blog.  The theme this week in Alone in the Dark.

 The paper I used is from the DCWV Immortal Love stack.... 

I was never and still not a fan of Twilight (which this stack is based upon), but these papers are luscious.  The "bitten" was already on the paper and I stamped "once" with some letter stamps..the mosquito was stamped and then glittered and I added a blood droplet. Punched the bottom front with what else....Drippy Goo.  Pretty simple, but I love how it turned out.

Sweet treats...for my peeps!!!!

I have seen these treats all over the web. 

This is mine and Harlee's rendition.

Here's Harlee adding the finishing touches (sprinkles).

Instead of a paper sucker stick, we decided to add a pretzel as the stick.  Why not??? 

When the grands are here (adults too) they can enjoy the treat without having to take time to find the trash can.   

I, personally, prefer my peeps nekkid and a little on the stale side; but to each his own.

We also did marshmallows and the 'sticks' by themselves.  Lots of treats to go around!!!!

Recycle, recycle, recycle.....

What better day to recycle, than today..... It's EARTH DAY!!!!

I found these small framed letters at Hobby Lobby and they were 90% off.  Originally 12.99 each, so that means I pay a whopping 1.29 each.  I bought 3.....Love a bargain.

I knew I was going to create something for my studio.  My color scheme is turquoise blue, black and white.    

I had to find a way to cover the letters, (2 Q's and 1 U...LOL)

This is how I chose to do it.   I made a folded medallion and then I took a border punch and made some paper lace and then I punched out a scallop circle and added a silver button. 

Adhered them to the glass with a large glue dot.....!!!

Cool, huh????

I have yet to hang them, but I will this weekend.

I made these for the grands also.  They are going to be in "Sugar" overload......LOL

But the good thing is their parents get to take them home after I've loaded them up with sugar.....

We have a tradition ..... I always tell them I want to see hands and tail lights........  that's so I can count the hands to make sure none was left behind......Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!  They know that I'm only joking...(maybe)!!!!!

Anyhooooo, here are the deets to the cutesy above:

I used the topnote die to cute the topper; folded in half.

 The bunny was made using, MS bunny ears punch, 3/4" circle, 1" circle and boho blossoms punches. Distressed with ink.

The sentiment was computer generated and I used scissors to create the flag end. 

Easy and cute........ !!!!!

!!Easter Chicks!!!

I made these cuties for my grands. I have big bags full of goodies for them on Easter.  I have been adding things to the bag for a couple of months now. I pick up small stuff, here and there and just keep adding to the stash.  They think they have hit the motherload....or should I say "Sugarload"... They all call me "Sugar".   

These are pretty small....they hold about 2 tbls. of N 'a mems (better known as M & M's). 

I used the Tags, bags, boxes and more cricut cart. to cut these out.  Its the flower box on page 120 of the booklet. I cut it at 4-1/2".  As soon as I saw the flower part sticking up, it reminded me of a fluffly chick. The eyes were just circles punches and the beak is the 5-petal flower punch from SU!.  I folded the orange cs and inserted the folded side into just one of the petals of the punch.

Astute student triumps to get his degree.......

I created this page to showcase my college student......my hubs!!!!

He was diligently working away in his office (at home).

He will soon get his diploma as he just completed all his assignments.  He maintained a 4.0 all while working approx. 60 hrs. a week.  He is one tough cookie!!!!!  This is his third degree; he has two associates and now one bachelors. I'm so very proud of him.  Soon I will get a pic of him in his cap and gown; I'm sooooo excited. 

That means another scrapbook opportunity!!!!!   Woop woop!!!!

I 've been tied up....

 on a small 'stay'cation =(vacation where hubs is staying/working) in Huntsville, AL. 

We visited the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center while we were there.

These two were busy preparing for lift-off........"Hey,WAIT for ME!!!!!!"

They decided I needed a spacecraft of own......."Hey, wait.....I forgot my purse!!!"

Now, I'm back to some normalcy....... I still haven't finished unpacking all my stuff from the scrapbooking retreat.  I came home, removed the retreat luggage and then packed my car for the 'stay'cation.

Just another manic monday.....

I just got back from a scrapping retreat in North GA. and we had the BEST time evah !!!!!!!

We spent 4 days together, scrapping, laughing, cropping, laughing, eating, laughing, sharing stories, laughing....... not much sleep.....ohhh and did I say we were LAUGHING..... 

You know doctors say that laughing adds year to your life, wellllll after this weekend...

I'm never going to die....bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

This is a page I completed while on the retreat. The images are from 'Life's a Party'. Really; how true is that title of that particular Cricut cart. If you have been following my blog; you know that I recently turned 50.  No big deal; but in a way it is. That is a milestone number.  This pic was taken at one of my b'day parties. 

Well, gotta get back to reality and get things un-packed.  Have another trip to pack for.......
