About Me

I would classify myself as an artist. It took me a while to finally accept that monicker, but that's what I am; AN ARTIST!!! I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Treeflake...???

Cricut is having a contest.
You can check it out via their Facebook page.

Its an ornament contest.  They (Cricut) will be donating a tree and all the ornaments sent to them to a local charitable organization.

Here's what I made for it.

I call it a "TREEFLAKE"

Here is the link of the posting and instruction at Cricut Project Center.

Chef-capades continue......

I made this last night for supper.  My husband, Jeff, said that this should be in the rotation of regular meals.  So, I guess it was a hit!!!
I wasn't really sure he was going to dig the puff pastry, but he did.....Yay for me!!!!

Recipe below!!!!!

TURKEY POT PIE
Ingredients:

Cooked Turkey (cubed) - ( or any cooked meat will do)
1 lg can Homestyle veg-all (I prefer the larger chunks)
1 small can mushrooms
1 can cream of mushroom soup (or you can use any 'cream of' soup you desire)
Tablespoon small diced onion
Frozen puff pastry
Salt and pepper to taste
sage (I picked sage, oregano and basil from my garden, about a tablespoon of fresh chopped)

Drain veg-all completely.  Put into medium pot,  add mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, diced onion, cubed turkey and herbs.  Heat thoroughly.
Put into individual ramekins or into one oven safe dish and top with thawed puff pastry.  Bake in a 400 degree oven until pastry is puffy and brown.
Super simple and very tasty!!!

Until later, cheffies.......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!

I saw a saw.......of the chain variety

I came across a slight dilemma the other day.  I was searching high and low and couldn't find a chain saw image cut out on any of the Cricut cartridges that I owned (which is a lot).  Nor, on any other cartridges either.  Then I went to my local HL (Hobby Lobby) and thought maybe a chain saw sticker would do....NOTHING....hmmmm what's a girl to do???

I know.....

Make one myself!!!
So,  that's what I did!!!

Here's how...watch and hopefully you can
decipher my ramblings and make one yourself.

Did that help you out any???
I hope so. If you need more visual here ya go.
But you know this isn't written in stone, have a go at changing it up to suit you.

Here's the finished page.

Paper is from the paper stack called
"I'd Rather be Hunting" from The Paper Studio

Font is from A Frightful Affair Cricut cartridge.  Love how the letters are split on the word "Chainsaw"
I was going for the look of them being cut with, yep you guessed it.....
a chainsaw.
