Cabin Croppers Crazy Cram-packed Convergence

We laughed, giggled, ate, scrapped and in general had the best time!!!! There was no cell phone service unless you trekked up the mountain and wanted the off-chance to have to wrestle a bear for the path. We had snow flurries saturday and most of the gals were wishing for it to snow us in.....bwahahahahahahahahaha !!!! I'm sure we are all dragging our butts a little today, though. We stayed up half-the night and then got up early to get back to scrapping out fingers off. I actually did 38 pages...wheeeewww. But that wasn't a comparison to some of the others. 60+ pages were done by several.... bwahahahahahahaha!!!! Tomorrow I'll post a pic or two of some of my favs I did. Today, enjoy the pics from my trip!!!!

That STINKS!!!!!

Well, its Sunday and we all have to pack and get ready to go back to the real world..... I'm pre-posting this; but I'm sure we had a fantabulous time. We always do. I'm sure that I will have loads of pics to share as well. We were having a discussion to make this an annual event or maybe more often. We'll have to see what the future holds....right now my not-so-distant future says get your stuff packed and get your butt home to pick up Harlee and Booboo!!!!

This card will be given to my dear friend Monica..... She is the hostess of our retreat this weekend. I'm already on the road driving to the cabin as you read this. It's probably a 2 hour drive for me, but it will be worth the trip. It's in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not far from where my Daddy was born. He was born and raised in Talking Rock, GA. There will be 10 of us gals there and there will be 10 times the laughter. Super stoked about getting the opportunity to go.

With all the sickness going around this year....this couldn't be a better card. Doesn't any kind of soup make you feel better when you are sick; especially if someone loves you enough to make it and bring it to you. NOOO {knock on wood} I haven't been sick in quite some time...probably a few years. But working at the school around all those petri dishes I'm surprised that I haven't been. Picture this: I hand out the assignments to the class, whether its a pre-printed one or in their text books per teacher's notes she left me. I walk around the room {with my hand clasped behind my back}and help those that ask for it and maybe some that don't...(LOL). Then its time to turn in the assignment....hmmmmm, while my hands are STILL clasped behind my back I either direct one of the students to take them up or I nod my head towards the teachers desk and tell them to stack them neatly there. All the while I never, ever touch the paper. Clever huh??? I always heard that the end justifies the means....and I mean NOT to get sick........bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

The card techy is called faux tin, I embossed metallic paper and then cut into square to replicate tin tiles..... cool huh?

Spring is not springing soon enough....

I thought I would bring a little spring to y'all since that silly groundhog couldn't. Poooo on Punxsutawney Phil......I mean, really!!! What kind of license do you need to become a prognosticator anyway. Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!

Now, on to more important things...the card!!!

The jonquil is my birth flower and when they shoot their little heads up in the spring it brings a smile to my face. I used my cutting system from Creative Memories to create the oval frame on the cutout and the cutout itself. Of course, colored pencils, OMS, and stump to color the flowers and a border punch from fiskars and some ribbon and Spring has sprung!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friendship.................

I loved this stamp set when it first came out from Stampin' Up! I had to have it, but have used it so little; funny how that happens huh??? Oh well, I dusted it off and now here it is. I used an embossng folder on the green part for the tree after I cut the circle. Very simple card with a big WOW........

Getting super excited about my trip this upcoming weekend.... Going to spend friday, saturday and sunday with all my scrapbooking buds. We are going to have the best time. We laugh and giggle as much as we scrapbook. I've never been on a SB retreat before, packing for it is a booger. I want to take everything and I know I can't. Clothes is no prob......taking pajamas and sweat clothes.....ohhhh, and a hat... Bwaahahahahahahahaha. Wow, me with no makeup.....LOL My buddies won't recognize me......you can't tell where my hair stops and my face starts.....
